A shopkeeper in Melbourne, Australia, has been accused of selling e-cigarettes to children and seized nearly $30,000 worth of e-cigarettes.
Police raided the man's shop on Pitt Street in Eltham, north of Melbourne, on Wednesday after multiple reports that it sold e-cigarettes to youths under 18.
Allegedly, the man was found to have no proper license to sell nicotine e-cigarettes at all.
Police seized 1,154 e-cigarettes worth nearly $30,000 from his store.
The 56-year-old Eltham man was arrested and charged with illegally selling e-cigarettes to minors, failing to hold a proper license to sell nicotine e-cigarettes and supplying nicotine e-cigarettes without authorization.
He was released on bail in October to appear at Heidelberg District Court.
Selling nicotine vaping products to someone under 18 without a valid prescription could equate to a fine of $18,492.
