According to a report by TMZ on September 20, the e-cigarette brand Dummy Vapes is dissatisfied with the fact that its brand partner, rapper 6ix9ine, was poached by competitor Fume and has filed a lawsuit against the latter.
According to the lawsuit, Dummy Vapes signed an exclusive endorsement contract with 6ix9ine in February 2023, but the company learned in June that Fume had provided 6ix9ine with $1 million in hopes of collaborating. However, this proposal apparently failed and Fume turned to 6ix9ine's girlfriend Yailin la Mas Viral and signed a contract with her worth $250,000.
Later, Fume launched 14 different e-cigarette flavors, some of which were named "Dumy Vapes by Fume." Dummy Vapes confirmed that 6ix9ine did release a public service announcement in which he made it clear that he was a member of Dummy Vapes and was only doing business with Fume through his girlfriend's contract.
However, when Dummy Vapes paid 6ix9ine $60,000 for a private jet trip to prepare him to promote the brand at an industry event in Las Vegas, he backed out due to Fume's demands. Now, Dummy Vapes is seeking unspecified damages in a lawsuit.
In two previous interviews with Fume, its staff said that Fume is the largest e-cigarette brand in Florida, USA.
