U.S. e-liquid maker Bantam Vape has received a waiver from the United States Postal Service (USPS), allowing the company to ship its e-liquid products to select e-cigarette retailers and distributors across the United States.

The Postal Service's decision is in response to Bantam's application for a business purpose exception to the Prevent All Trafficking in Cigarettes (PACT) Act, which was amended by Congress on December 27, 2020, to ban the transportation of e-cigarettes and vaping products through USPS.

"Bantam's ability to re-engage USPS as the shipper for our high-quality, flavor-filled e-liquids allows us to more effectively serve our trusted retail and distribution partners," said Bantam spokesman Anthony Dillon. "Utilizing USPS as an alternative shipping channel provides our B2B customers with increased purchase order flexibility and reduced shipping time and costs."

According to a press release, Bantam provided the USPS with the necessary documentation to obtain an exception to the PACT Act's ban on shipping vapor products through the USPS. This includes submitting applicable state and federal licenses and licenses for Bantam and its clients named in the application.

"We thank USPS for processing our application in a timely manner and for helping us deliver an alternative to combustible cigarettes to customers across the United States," Dillon said. "As we continue to expand our brand's customer base, Bantam is committed to adding retailers and distributors to the list we can ship with USPS."
