When officials from Jeter Suzhou Customs and Economic Department inspected goods and vehicles at the Alakul Pass, they seized a large number of illegal disposable electronic cigarettes, electronic cigarette oil and electronic cigarette accessories.

Jeter Suzhou Customs stated that the seized goods and vehicles did not provide valid documents and did not declare the situation of imported goods, which violated the relevant regulations in the customs field of the Eurasian Economic Union.

It is understood that from March 1 to 6, 2023, a total of 8 trucks entered the Alakul customs station in Kazakhstan from China.

According to Article 154 of the Customs Code of Kazakhstan, the carrier failed to notify the customs authorities of the arrival of the goods in a timely manner and did not submit the cargo documents, thus violating the provisions of Articles 524 and 531 of the Administrative Code of Kazakhstan.

During customs inspections of goods and vehicles, electronic cigarettes and accessories with a total weight of 155.8 tons were found. According to expert appraisal, the total value of the goods reached 6.1 billion tenge (about 100 million yuan), and it is estimated that 1.9 billion tenge (about 31 million yuan) of duties and taxes should be paid.

According to the on-site pictures provided by Jeter Suzhou Customs, the seized e-cigarette packaging is printed with logos of HQD, INFLAVE and other brands.
