According to a survey conducted by job search service SuperJob, the proportion of nicotine addicts who smoke e-cigarettes has almost tripled in the past four years, according to Gubdaily on September 27th. Representatives of 500 companies and 2500 economically active Russians participated in this study.
21% of respondents only use e-cigarettes, while 16% smoke both e-cigarettes and regular cigarettes. In 2019, only 8% and 12% of such people respectively. The proportion of women (33%) using e-cigarettes is higher than that of men (14%), with those under the age of 34 preferring e-cigarettes the most. On September 4th, a survey by Romir Corporation showed that if cigarette prices rise, Russians are prepared to purchase illegal tobacco. The survey results show that if cigarette prices increase by 10%, 61% of respondents are prepared to switch to illegal products.
Starting from June 1st of this year, multiple sales restrictions on e-cigarettes will take effect, and starting from March 1st, 2024, the sale of e-cigarettes containing aromatic additives will be completely prohibited.
